Daily Art Missions
IthacaArt is my Facebook page that I created as a hub for artistic inspiration to excite the Ithaca community to create art every day. I do this by fashioning and posting daily art missions on my wall for the community to complete, and to share their amazing talents.
With the help of Facebook, I have provided a safe haven for artists who don't consider themselves professionals to have a safe and inviting place to share their art, and to connect with a community of artists they once felt intimidated to interact with. After posting missions, many artists have started showing their work locally because IthacaArt helped reinforce their craft. People who never share their work have the opportunity to share it with over two thousand people.
