Clownation
A strangely enjoyable art film

Clownation is a short art film I wrote and directed that involved an amazingly large cast of 51 actors. I couldn't have done it without the help of the talented cinematographer and editor, Rachel Ferro.

Clownation is a collaborative visionary project that empowers the Ithaca community to experience art firsthand and to share in its exciting development. The film was innovatively crafted to allow everyone from the Ithaca community to participate because it required no acting experience and no lines to remember.

Clownation is about a city, a city similar to any city, full of people living their lives; working, eating, playing, laughing. At first glance, the City of Clownation appears to be normal, but when you look closer you notice a unifying difference: everyone is wearing a red clown nose. Life in this world moves fast some days and slows down on others, but it's all up to the music, the music you only hear if you're a resident of Clownation.
