Public Art
The Falling Series

The falling series is an all new multiple piece public installation that defies gravity and is guaranteed to make you smile. My goal is to display multiple full size objects falling off the sides of buildings around the country. Some of the objects I'm working on include a dinosaur, a vintage VW beetle, a series of anvils, and some oversized critters and objects.

The first public installation from the Falling Series was installed on the Community School of Music and Arts (CSMA) building downtown Ithaca on November 12th. This particular installation involves a full size red baby grand piano that has been manipulated to make it appear as if it is moving. I named this piece the "Geschwind Drop." The piano is just about forty feet off the ground and I have to admit working on a ladder this high off the ground is a little unnerving.

If you want to experience this public art installation in person stop by the CSMA building at 330 East State Street, Ithaca, NY 14850.

Interested in displaying a falling object on your building? They are completely safe and lack the ability to smash to the ground or smush a passing pedestrian.
