PUBLIC ART
The Pink Elephant

The Pink Elephant was a commissioned public art installation that I painted on the front gates of The Westy in Ithaca NY.

I turned my original design into a giant stencil to apply the pink elephant silhouette to the gate and the abstract water lines were taped off one by one. It took two days, in 100 degree temperatures, to complete the installation.

The Pink Elephant was the first installation The Westy ever allowed on their gates. Now the gates are available for other artists to share their creative abilities on a three-month rotation.
